The contest we speak of is the U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council’s quest to find America’s best blueberry pie, just in time for National Blueberry Month. Your recipe could win $10,000, $1,500 or $1,000 along with bragging rights — the winning pie will be named the official pie of the blueberry industry. Now through July 12, entrants should submit their original recipes and a photo of their blueberry pie.
The stakes are high: There is only one judge of the contest, Tieghan Gerard, Half Baked Harvest blog author and New York Times bestselling cookbook author, who told Bake Magazine that blueberry pie is hands down her favorite, especially in the summer.
