Another PizzaExpo has come and gone, and what can we say? There is a reason this is the premier show in the pizza industry. We saw a lot of our existing customers and met some great operators we hope will be new customers soon. Thank you to all who stopped by our booth during the show. Here’s a brief recap on what we heard and learned.

What everyone wanted to talk about

Detroit-style pizza pans: This was the least surprising thing at the show. Our Detroit Pizza Pans have been flying off the shelves thanks to the popularity of these pizzas and the fact that we make the best Detroit-style pizza pan in the industry. We spent countless hours perfecting this pan, and it was great to hear from so many customers how well they’re performing.
Alternative crusts and pans to bake them: Yes, you can use one of our pizza pans to bake a cauliflower crust. However, since this market is so new, and crust formulas at this stage are so different, we don’t have a one-size fits all veggie crust pan…yet. Contact us and our food solutions experts will take your formula and run tests to see which pan delivers the best bake.
Grandma-style pizza pans: Momentum for Grandma Pizzas is building similar to Detroit-style pizza pans did a couple of years ago. And similar to their square counterparts, we did quite a bit of research to build the perfect Grandma-Style Pizza Pan

The top three questions we received

Do you make custom pans? Always a frequent question regardless of the show. The answer: yes. You can learn all about our custom pans here.
Where are your pans made? People can hardly believe it, but our pans are made in the United States of America. We manufacturer our pans in our plant in Spokane Valley, Washington.
Should I replace my pizza screens? Another popular question, and one we love answering. Yes, replace your pizza screens. Here’s why.

The top three things we learned

Making pans in the United States means something. As noted above, we were asked constantly who manufacturers our pans and where. We were proud to say over and over again that we make them ourselves in the great state of Washington!
Pizza’s global reach is growing. We’ve always shipped pans globally, but it seems this year we talked to more and more global operators from Latin America, the Middle East and Asia.
Pizza is fun. It’s always a great reminder to go to a show like this to realize how lucky we are. The pizza industry is growing and full of smart, kind and innovative people and companies. Plus, it’s simply fun. We’re glad to be a part of it.
