Earlier this year, our pans received quite the rave review from J. Kenji Lopez-Alt and Serious Eats in an article titled, The Food Lab: Detroit-Style Pizza Is the Best Thing You’re Gonna Make This Year.

Needless to say, this article sparked quite a bit of interest in our Detroit-Style Pizza Pans from both our commercial customers and home bakers. And, the review have been outstanding. We’ve compiled some of our favorite from Amazon.

I purchased this pan for the express purpose of imitating Buddy’s pizza in Detroit. I would say this pan is great! I followed the published recipes and the crust and burn’t in cheese flavor were spot on. The pies do not stick to the pan and can easily be slid out with a spatula. I baked at 525 degrees on a commercial stone in my home oven. 15 minutes and voila! - July 11, 2017

I’ll probably buy a couple more. Easily my favorite pizza pan. I like it a better than cast iron for deep dish or Detroit style. If you make your own dough, and you should, it works fantastically for rising. But the best part is it is thin enough to get up to temperature quickly, but thick enough to hold the heat evenly. My first crust out of it was my best ever. - June 16, 2017

The quality of the pan is outstanding – It is very well made and could easily hold up to serious abuse in a commercial kitchen. The real game changer is the non-stick abilities of this pan. You can go ahead and try to burn a pizza in it, but it still won’t stick. In addition, the gently sloped sides work to help extract the pizza easier but also form a good angle for the crust to pull away during baking. Overall, I’m very impressed and might even buy a second one to make two pizzas at once when I have friends over. - June 8, 2017

Bought to make a Detroit style pizza, following advice of Serious Eats blog, except to make a 4 square not an 8 as that recipe calls for. Pan works great, in combination with the recipe nearly identical to Buddy’s itself. Highly recommend purchase for anyone who wants to replicate the real deal at home - May 3, 2017

Pretty sure it’s coated in whatever they put on stealth bombers. Whatever it is I love it. Good to 700 degrees which is great because you’re not getting a great pizza cooking it at 425. Well built should last forever if cared for. - April 27, 2017

Buddy’s pizza is so good that I never even dreamed of trying to make anything like it at home. I just didn’t think it was possible. But I recently came across an online recipe for Detroit-style pizza and it seemed totally legit. But according to the recipe, I needed a special Detroit-style pizza pan and this one by LloydPans is the one they recommended it. With the blessing of my wife, I took the plunge and ordered the pan. And yesterday, I attempted my first homemade Detroit pizza. Well, I’m happy to report that it couldn’t have turned out any better. - March 13, 2017

I’m no pro but this pan could easily allow me to become one. Huge buffer zone when baking means the bread will vary from good to “so good your friends are texting you the next day that you’re a pizza god.” - November 2, 2016
